That's how long it's been since my last post.
Since then, I've had my first sale on Etsy, gave birth to a baby girl, and became a stay-at-home mom (albeit, a temporary gig).
I am finally coming out of my post-baby fog...still not getting a ton of sleep, but my days are now spent pulling a wee one from the furniture and stairs...yes, she's close to walking at a mere 7 months old.
So I questioned if I should start over. As I reread my old posts, I felt like I've closed one chapter and entered another, so maybe a fresh start was in order.
But I suppose it's all part of the process called "life" and sometimes things happen and before we know it, eight months have passed.
So, back to that baby girl.
I decided I would try sewing for her. But since I've never made a garment for an actual human -Barbies and Cabbage Patch dolls don't count- I thought it time to try.
I ordered from Miss Matatabi for the first time. Despite them shipping all the way from Japan, the process was smooth, delivery was speedy, and the fabrics are lovely...some double and triple gauze and voile. They're lightweight, airy, and soft to baby's sensitive skin.
I cannot wait to sew a little something special with this for my curious climber.
Hopefully I won't wait another eight months to post...
